A Letter From Your Hosts
Growing up in the neighborhood until attending Jr. High, I loved watching the July 4th parade which runs down Dayton Street each year and now sitting in front of my own home, doing a such.
My husband and I are excited that we were able to bring this home back to life (thought about keeping the goth look but……having always loved yellow on a home, and adding the cream trim, feel it has made it inviting and also inspired the name we gave her, The Canario (canary in Spanish) Nest.
Artwork was created by my friend, Scott Simmons, who also created my salsa label (yes, I make and sell salsa as my side gig). Scott also illustrates comic books; look up his art at www.scottdmsimmonsart.com.
The following pictures show the demanding work my husband endured, independently, with just a few subcontracts, giving him an occasional break.
We are in hopes that your stay with us meets all your needs/wants in an AIRBnB. Feel free to comment in the notebook with any suggestions/thoughts on your stay.
